If anyone is interested in publishing a collection of short stories by Marcel Béalu, translated by me, please let me know.

Was there any response to this? I would buy the book, if it came to be. Wish I read French.

On another subject- I recently read your story in the Ex Occidente Bulgakov tribute and thought it was the best thing I'd read in any of Dan's collections. I will be looking for more of your books and recommending your work to anyone who asks. Thanks. - Adam

Me again. There seems to be a new imprint launching, might be appropriate for this proposed translation.

The linked post details a bit about the press and its journal.

Hope to see something come of this. Thanks.

I am interested in Bealu, and would be curious to know which collection you've translated. There is no contact info on your profile, though. You can reach me at www.wakefieldpress.com

Adam --
Sorry to reply so late. For some reason I wasn't notified of the comment. The collection I've translated, L'Aventure Impersonelles et autres ... cobbles together material from other anthologies of his, so permissions may not be so easy to get. We'll see!

I have some other translation works underway, however. I've just Englished a story by Julio Cortazar called "Headache," which does not seem to have been translated before, for some reason. I've also translated a sort of decadent-like collection of very short pieces by Mexican author Carlos Diaz Dufoo Sr. I'm translating some of his son's (Carlos Diaz Dufoo Jr) work, philosophical epigrams and very short items, at the moment.

Thanks!

Fascinating, I'll be keeping an eye out for news.

Off topic a bit, Wakefield's stuff looks great - the forthcoming Schwob and Scheerbart will be must-reads for me.
