Make the money roll like honey off the tip of your tongue...

The page count is mighty!

Is there a way to buy this as an international reader? I live in Poland, it's hard to buy it without shipping costs exceeding the price of the book itself ...

Hello Miszczif --

I'm afraid I don't know. I believe there will be an electronic version of the book made available.

Do you know when the ebook will available for purchase? I'm inclined to buy the physical copy for the stunning artwork alone, but 788 pages is hardly subway-friendly.

Also, still keeping my fingers crossed for a collection... any indication that this might be on or approaching the horizon?

Hello Mr. Cisco,

Who is the artist that did the book cover? The cover is amazing, and surpasses the Narrator as my fave.

The artist is Mat Brown. Here's his website:

I fell in love with his work at once, and suggested this particular piece to Cameron. To my great delight, he was able to get permission to use it.

Thank you!

Mr. Brown's website invokes many responses. Naked never seemed so alien and vulnerable.

On the 7th of December, 2015 I remember waking up from a dream where a new, fictional novel by Michael Cisco called THE STRIKER was just released.

I remember reading the blurb in the dream that said the book was about "a non-unitary family" and something about Wittgenstein's "un-resemblances".

Just wanted to share this oddity. Looking forward to reading ANIMAL MONEY.

Looks fantastic. will it be available for purchase as an ebook at some point?

Yes -- quite soon, as a matter of fact. Watch this space for details.

Thanks for the book, Animal Money. I found it because I like the publisher. When your book arrived to me I read the first paragraph and became stumped with coincidence. I have been struck a violent blow to my head. I live with Traumatic Brain Injury since 2004. After some ceremony and gesticulations I was able to read again. It saddens me that you don't have a contact email. If your work invites a new critique... that's ok. I would like to hear it read.aloud. Sight reading is challenging.

I'm very sorry to hear about your injury. These are not the sorts of coincidences one wishes for when writing a book. I would like there to be an audiobook, but at present there are no plans for one.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I'm the anonymous reader with the head injury. I don't mind too many coincidences. I told everyone I know about Animal Money. Read a few passages aloud to my parents. I'm at Part 3. Thanks for writing it. I haven't read anything like it. That's a compliment. I know more about physics than economics. I really like the physicists experience of Animal Money. What are the coincidences one hopes for when writing a novel? I enjoy reading stories with head injured protagonists. There are a few of them, I guess. Animal Money though, I said to my painter friend... I wish I had written it. Painter friend said yes! I wish I had painted those clouds. We compared you to El Greco and Animal Money to the clouds over Toledo, Spain.

ps- It's confusing the Regentrification stages of the communist individuals. Do you choose to believe in some of the ideas from Terrence McKenna? He believes coincidence is a skill. Also when we have the internet we need, we will have no internet at all. The authors Lovecraft, Burroughs and Poe, I've read these. I share because I'm not a writer. Some people call me a poet but I'm not that either. This is a dream blog I have to share. Otherwise I don't have much of a yen for social media created after 2004. I believe it would be healthy to correspond. Thanks, "Ilsa Bazaar" https://folieplusieurs.wordpress.com/

ANIMAL MONEY thanks you for your kind words. My contact email is mcisco [at] hostos [dot] cuny [dot] edu. I guess that, by coincidences, I mean something along the lines of recognition at first sight. Perhaps clouds are the international signature of coincidences of this kind. Everything alive knows clouds and can tell them apart from trees and hands, even El Greco's notoriously unrecognizable hands. Coincidence a skill? An unconscious skill? I would put it like this: everything coincides; a "skillfull practicioner" would be someone who is good at noticing?

It has been exactly one year since my dream about THE STRIKER.

Hey, Michael! I can't seem to find the ebook for Animal Money anywhere. Or if it's on Amazon, it isn't visible to me (maybe region restricted?) If the later is the case, that's too sad. Can you give some insight on the matter?
